Project TIME TO LOVE - TIME TO LIVE a project for people with dementia

Herning Kommune has received 5 million Danish kroner to run a big Marte Meo  project in the work with people with dementia.

Gitte Henriksen, a danish Marte Meo supervisor (in training to be a lic. Marte Meo supervisor) is the leader of the project. Pernille Roug Lic. Marte Meo supervisor is a consultant of the project.

Time to learn – time to live.

The project has 3 levels:

  1. At a local level; 12 nurses/ social workers /social and health care assistants will be educated as Marte Meo therapists and 60 other professionals will learn to know the basics of the Marte Meo method.
     
  2. At individual level;  relatives of the people with dementia will get a Marte Meo course on supportive communication skills.
     
  3. At national level there will be produced video material which can be used for free in the entire country of Denmark. The material will be targeted to professionals as well as relatives.
